The Wii - Downloadable Games

I was wondering what up and coming games would appear onto the Wii for downloading Via the channel. There is all this hype about Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. I also noticed how people wished it was on the Wii, because Rare made Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. Ever since Microsoft bought Rare, the new games is going onto the Xbox360. Do you think the previous two games will come out on the Download Channel? (Samething applies to other Rare games. One for instance is Donkey Kong 64). And other games that might have been on the NES or other systems, to see. Thanks :DThe Wii - Downloadable Games
Methinks tt donkey kong 64 might have a slight chance of coming out but there is 0 chance of banjo kazooie/tooie coming out for the VC becos Microsoft is goin to release banjo kazooie/tooie on the Xbox arcade which was mentioned during the announcement of banjo kazooie : nuts and bolts, and they probably do not want any competition, tts y they did not release conker for wii or any other rare games except the recent DK racing game which was kinda mediocre The Wii - Downloadable Games
Donkey Kong 64 will come to the VC eventually but all the other Rare games will not.
I'll make it simpleNintendo owns all Nintendo characters and Rare games that featured them so yes, there will be Donkey Kong 64 on the Virtual Console Microsoft own all characters and Rare games that contain original Rare characters

I really want another Earthbound game... ...

I am currently importing Mother (Earthbound in English) 1+2 and Mother 3 from Japan for GBA. Mother 1+2 features Ness, and Mother 3 has Lucas. But, I really want another Earthbound game, or at least Earthbound from the SNES on the VC. What say you guys?I really want another Earthbound game... ...
I don't think anyone would disagree.I really want another Earthbound game... ...

Captain Rainbow *Info + Videos* [56k com ...

The main character ''Nick'' is able to transform into ''Captain Rainbow'' a superhero wielding a yo-yo, with a wish to restore his lost popularity. To restore his popularity, Nick ventures to Minmin Island; an island where wishes are said to come true, and will meet a vast array of past minor Nintendo characters with their own dreams and wishes. The game features a stylized cartoon look simmiliar to Skip's other games. The game also offers various minigames, like golf, bug catching, boxing and fishing

InfoThe Adventure Part :Communicate with the island%26#8217;s inhabitants

-The inhabitants are Nintendo characters that didn%26#8217;t make it to stardom

Mimin Island%26#8217;s inhabitants are minor Nintendo characters that never quite made it to %26#8220;star%26#8221; status. They live on this island trying to make their wishes come true.

Hikari (from Shin Onigashima), Birdo (from Super Mario USA), Mappo (from GiFTPiA), Takamaru (from Nazo no Murasamejou), Little Mac (from Punch-Out!!) and other Nintendo characters await you!

-Communicate with the inhabitants - Enjoy the island life

You can cater to their requests, or fish, or do what whatever you want. It%26#8217;s all up to you. Don%26#8217;t be surprised if you get some pretty demanding requests all of a sudden. You can go fishing or bug collecting or even help with somebody%26#8217;s golf swing. Help people out and you may get Earth Crystals called Kirarin (Sparklies).

Captain Rainbow is a game that mixes action and adventure; it%26#8217;s an action adventure game.

The Action Part: Fight for the wish-granting %26#8220;Stars%26#8221;

Which will it be? You know what a true hero would do%26#8230;
CharactersNick - Coming from ''The Land of the Free'': Mameruka (possibly a pun on America), Nick's alter-ego is Captain Rainbow. Although not as popular as he used to be, Nick came to Minmin Island with the dream of restoring his popularity.

Mappo - The Robot jailer from GiFTPiA, it's unknown why it came to Minmin Island.

Little Mac - From Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, Mac's wish is to become a world champion once again. It is shown that, depending on how Nick helps Mac with his training, he can become either massive or incredible thin.

Hikari - From Shin Onigashima, it's unknown why she came to Minmin Island.

Takamaru - From Nazo no Murasamej%26#333;, it's unknown why he came to Minmin Island.
The concept of second/third tiers characters in an island wishing for, I suppose, more attention from Nintendo is pure win and legendary!
ya. Personally I can't wait to see more of it. There are parts that sound like Animal Crossing (fishing, bug catching, and talking to ''villagers'' otherwise known as 3rd tier characters). It sounds interesting and I would love to see it go worldwide.

Oddly enough I'm really interested in seeing more of this game! Could you imagine Captain Rainbow in a future installation of Smash Bros.? KICK @$$!!
I was nearly sold on this game when I saw the title graphic and that it was from the Chibi-Robo devs. I KNEW it was going to be something balls out crazy. I love the idea behind the island. I just hope the gameplay can match the pure genius driving the game's story.

Disaster still coming - final confirmati ...

Another news I haven't seen here, so:''Disaster: Day of Crisis is still in development,'' a Nintendo of America representative told GamePro on Monday. Unfortunately, the representative would not comment on a tentative release date or when Nintendo might divulge further informationhttp://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news%26newsid=30693Yup yup. Disaster still coming - final confirmati ...
yes!!! :DDisaster still coming - final confirmati ...
With the rating on the OFLC website, the game was still in development. It's not a surprise to see NOA confirmed that.
Hopefully we'll be able to play it some time in the next year.
good to know. i relly hope it delivers.

Ganondorf as the the final boss?

Should ganondorf be the final boss in the next zelda game or should it be a new guy?Ganondorf as the the final boss?
New guy. Ganondorf needs a holiday. Constantly being stabbed and vanquished from the world by Link. That's just not a good way to live.Ganondorf as the the final boss?
Ganondorf should team up with Link for part of the game, then betray him in a really bad way.

No! I already told you, that's not a good way to live! Leave him ALONE!!!

Sorry about that. I don't like to have to repeat myself.
Hmmm.. ok if the next Zelda game can utilize the Wii motion plus for the sword slashing and change the formula up a little bit by not having Ganon as the primary villain, then I think the Zelda franchise may get that kick in the ass that it needs to put itself on top again.
I show no mercy to evil, I'll keep stabbing him, let him live and stab him again.

Yeah, sure.Who Here Wants Captain Rainbow To Be Rea ...
Yea I want it --- but if it's a Japan only game I'll import for my collection, I can't play it because of the firmware update blocks it.
I don't really care. It looks like it has some potential, but I'm kinda just shocked at how ugly it is. It's possible it'll be a good game, Nintendo is publishing it, after all. But the fact that I'm actually distracted by how bad it looks is a bad sign.
Maybe. I probably wouldn't get it though. I don't like the artstyle.

I don't care. It looks like fun but Birdo was just too creepy for my liking :?
They should change the name to Cpt. Awesome if they do..
I want it to come to the US too. I would love it if it came to the US as ''Captain Rainbow,'' but since a good population of the planet is homophobic, the game's sales may not as be spectacular. If the name was changed I'd have to say that the US would eat up ''Captain Awesome.''

• How would you have made Metroid Prime 3 ...

I've seen a lot of people give Metroid Prime lower rating than I would have but I still don't see why they feel it did worse than Prime 2. I understand the game wasn't perfect but an 8.8? Some say that it's because the environments looked the same, the atmosphere wasn't as lonely or dark as the first 2 and the gameplay didn't change much. I for one can say if the game changed that much then it wouldn't have felt like Metroid Prime 3 (the conclusion), but a whole new Metroid. I wouldn't really like that. The visuals were substancially better and voice-overs were added to characters. I have yet to play Metroid Prime 1 so I can't compare them to each other. If you could change or add anything to Metroid Prime 3, what would it be?How would you have made Metroid Prime 3 ...
I wouldn't change anything. It was a fantastic game. How would you have made Metroid Prime 3 ...
Nothing really. Excellent game.Although the door loading times were a bit of a nuisance...
I would have liked to see a few populated area's. i know the game is ment to give that lonely isolated feel but a few places that had NPC that had meaningfull dialoge would have been nice. stuff like that to me makes the game world feel more real.maby have a few parts in the game were you had to team up with a NPC.
I thought is was an execellent game easily. I just wish that the game was longer and the areas you explored on were larger also. I do also wish that you could have fought dark samus more than once. In prime 2 you fought her 3 times i believe. But other than that it was an amazing game.
Metroid needs to be a 3rd person game. I've been following the series since it's debut on the NES but started losing interest in it when the Prime series started on the GC. It's not that I don't like 1st person shooters, I do. But I just don't think it works for Metroid.I also think that Samus needs some dialog in her games. Alot of it. I'm tired of her being the silent hero with no speech, no voice or anything. I think it makes her boring. All of the other characters in Prime 3 have voice-overs and some type of demeanor that fleshes them out. But Samus has nothing like that at all. I don't know about everyone else, but that REALLY bugs me. Please Nintendo, GIVE SAMUS A SOUL. I want to hear her speak... conversate with an NPC, swear, crack a joke, make snide remarks, ANYTHING. It's so important and would drive a storyline so much better.*Ching* My 2 cents.
Perhaps I should get a chance to finish this game before I comment, but from what I played, I wouldn't change too much. Metroid games in general are tough for me to get into consistently, but I really did enjoy the way the game was designed this time around. It allows for the freedom to do the typical backtracking, but doesn't throw the whole world all on you at once. I also liked the element of having a powerful, but deadly element at your disposal, as it really allowed you to use a good judgement of your gaming ability and the situation at hand to make the move that is best for you. Combine that with the fact that the game has the best controls I've ever experience in the modern day FPS era, and it's one of those games I'm chomping at the bit to have as one of my own one day.
maybe it could have multiplayer other than that its a great game
First off, its the best game currently on the Wii. Aside from the RE4 port, but its a port therefore gotta give the title to MP3. Second of all, for me I would have liked some flying sessions like dog fights, as someone previously said some populated areas like Zelda to buy upgrades. Otherwise it is a fantastic game, I hope they do more with the franchise. For me MP3 and Zelda TP are the only reasons I haven't sold my Wii for a 360.
A much more fleshed out story,a good ending,Kraid as a boss, and more upgrades and items to lengthen the game would have made Metroid Prime 3 much better. That said,it's still a superb game.
It might sound silly but I wish there were less control options and I wish the normal mode would of been at the veteran mode difficulty.TBH, I really didn't like it when I first played it, I was playing on normal mode with the b button for the trigger. Maybe it was just me but I thought it was harder to aim while shooting with my index finger. Also, I thought the game was way too easy, which resulted in it being very boring. Then I put the game away for 10 months and tried it again. Playing the game on veteran and using the A button to shoot changed my gaming experience considerably. MP3 is now one of my favs.
To me it is a close to flawless game, I gave it a 10 when I reviwed it and I still stand by that score. But all games can be improved so I guess I would make the game longer and get rid of all supporting characters. A Metroid game just needs Samus and a bunch of space creatures to be awesome!
Multiple beams, missiles, bombs, suits, etc to switch between like you could in the other two games. I think that really added a nice layer of control and choice to the other games. Also more voice-acting work, support for the GCN and classic controller, a few more areas to explore maybe.
controls specially the wiimote could have been better
less loading time, online multiplayer, and some original material. Only thing new was the PED suit, one or two little beam effects (welding) and traveling to other planets with implemented controls. Still, certainly a great game.
i wish it was in third person so people wouldn't ask for online multiplayer
would not change anything-it is a great game!!
i hate the way you had to keep point the wiimote at the screen to look straight. I mean I know it takes advantage of the aiming, but i hated having to keep my wrist in one place just to look up. To be honest, I would have prefered it on the GCN controller.
-Kraid Boss Battle instead of meta ridley.
-Better ending
-Better Story
-More control options (Fully customizable, like that of MOH:H2).
Metroid Prime 3 was the first Metroid game I've ever played. I'm familiar with the past games though, through reading and soforth so I understand the focus on exploration. Maybe Metroid's not my type of game. I own all the primes and will play them all eventually but I think that some spots in the game were unnecessarily tedious. For example, in one spot you're map tells you to go to such and such area. Okay you go there. When you get there it tells you that you need x item to get past that area and tells you where said item is and to go there. It sent you out.of.the.way just to show you that you cannot pass the area until you get an item from a different area.I think that those elements of the game could be off-putting to certain types of gamers. It comes off as pointless. ''why didn't they just send me to get the item first?'' is what some people would think. At least that's my opinion. The pacing is an issue.

Badguy (poll)

If there were an action adventure game with a bunch of Nintendo bosses throughout, who should lead them. And I mean almost every major Nintendo baddie.Badguy (poll)
i think they kinda did that in ssbb...ganon seemed to be in charge with bowser in 2nd Badguy (poll)
i thought this was about Sol Badguy....

SW: The Force Unleashed - Wii or PS3

I'm a big Star Wars fan and a huge fan of the Jedi Knight series.
So I'm planing on getting The Force Unleashed next month.

The problem is that I have both a Wii and a PS3.
I mostly use my PS3 as a media center and for the Blueray and my Wii to play games.
But since this game is coming out on both platforms I'm a bit torn.

Should I get the PS3 which has better graphics or go for the Wii version (Lightsaber and Wiimote are a mach made in heaven!)

Your thoughts?SW: The Force Unleashed - Wii or PS3
I'm in a similar position with my Wii and 360. My plan is to rent both versions of the game, and then buy whichever one I like more.SW: The Force Unleashed - Wii or PS3
I'm in the same position, but I've decided to get the Wii version just for the controls. The graphics are decent too.
Ps3 it blows the wii away gfx wise
Wii version for controls and duel mode!
I recommend waiting for the review of both versions before you decide.
im gunna rent them both first
you should of put this in the system ars form ince its in the wii form wii is probley going to get more votes
Wii
I'd say the Wii version, but I think System Wars is the best place to ask this.
Odd. the poll on the Wii board favors the Wii version?!

My thoughts: The Wiimote is not being used in any fashion than identifing simple up, down, left, right movements. The nunchuck for force pulls and pushes. While I thought at one point in time that would be amazingly fun, I have since played a lot of games where I try to move the remote and it misinterprets my actions, thus it does the wrong action and I either get hit, lose, whatever other than what I wanted to do.

That alone is enough for me to avoid controls that are frustratating more than fun. If the remote acted as a pointer for the force and allowed me to fine tune my actions with something that doesnt' screw up all the time (the IR on the wiimote works 99.99% of the time in all games, as opposed to the motion controls) then we would be talking differently.

Throw in the fact you will have a Wii exclusive dual mode that will rely heavily on these motion controls. Ever played SF2 or any other brawler where the controls would misbehave on you every so often? Yeah, epic lose/frustration there.

For now, total kick arse graphics beat wonky motion controls IMO. Yeah... that opinion has changed quite a bit over the last 8 months I have been expecting this game.

The Wii game will also have more levels, but if they were critical to the story, the other versions would have them too. Thus it appears to be fluff to make it seem like the Wii is compensating for the graphical drought.

I will definitely try out the demo of the X360 edition. Unless that version disappoints that is the version I will get. I might rent the Wii version after the fact, or if the X360 demo sucks.
PS3 the PS3 version has the better graphics and the physicis engine the wii version has...a ps2 game with wiimote support and a little fighting game thrown in
You should wait to see how well the light saber controls work first. If they do it better than Soul Calibur Legends then they'll be pretty good, cause most of the time Soul Calibur Legends gets it right. But raahsnavj has a point that the motion controls don't work as well as the IR, but they can still work pretty good. So I guess wait.
Here's the way I see it: If the controls on the Wii aren't significantly better than the other versions and the game actually scores higher because of so, get the PS3 version. There's no point in investing if the controls are just more pointless wrist shaking.

• The conduit could flop

i never even heard of highvoltage software before the conduit was anounced, so i looked up the company, i saw all the other games they made and i wish i did not see because it was full of flops. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Voltage_Software. I realy hope this game does better then everything else they did before. The conduit could flop

flopity, flop, flop, flop. That's a funny word isn't it? Flop.
Ah man, I didn't know they were the guys who made the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Video Game. That sucked some major super monkey balls. This company practically hasn't made any good games yet. (I'll go back and check to be sure) I hate to say it, but the conduit could very well flopity, flip, flap, flop.Lets hope it doesn't.
It won't flop as long as everyone continues to fap to it as they do in this forum.
It very well could. That doesn't mean people shouldn't continue to look forward to it.Now, the massive hype-train (I'm looking at you IGN) could certainly slow down though...
It has a chance to floppify but since alot the previews and news related to the game have been good, I think there's a good chance it won't be a floppy game.

Going out and putting $50 on a game after all the dust has settled on it is another. I think games like No More Heroes would agree with my assessment, too. The fact is that despite some of the efforts that the Conduit hopeful are making to hype this game, it's not going to be something that's for everyone, and that's going to be the case regardless of how good this game may actually become. There already goes a nice chunk of potential consumers, so that pretty much leaves those that are really interested in this kind of experience. Seeing as how the Wii isn't exactly established as a system with a lot of well-known names in the FPS universe, the majority of potential buyers for this game is going to fall along the lines of those that have been following the game from the get-go.If The Conduit exceeds my expectations and becomes a rather good game, I hope it does well. Still, it has a ways to go as it stands now.

unlikely. the team seems to have much spirit and determination. They have already used other games such as MP3 and MOH as guides. technically speaking, the game looks fantastic. it shows they are taking this game very seriously.
Every company has to start somewhere. Retro hadn't made much of anything good before Nintendo bought them, and then they produced a masterpiece in Metroid Prime(I know Nintendo had influence, but it was still the core Retro). Frontier(Lostwinds) has never made a game I have heard of until Lostwinds(did they even make another game?) and they produced a fabulous WiiWare game. While I do think Conduit has flop written all over it, HVS could possibly produce something great, it wouldn't be the first time that a company has gone from bad to good.

The Conduit to be published by Nintendo?

Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer at HVS, had this to say about the news, ''PAX is jam-packed wall-to-wall with passionate game fans. We are incredibly honored to be featured there at Nintendo's booth. It's a fantastic opportunity for us to receive input and feedback directly from other gamers.''

The Conduit made a big splash at this year's E3 convention. HVS received numerous awards and press recognition, including IGN Best Shooter Game of E3 2008 (Wii), IGN Best Graphics Technology of E3 2008 (Wii), IGN Best Overall Wii Game of E3 2008, GameTrailers Best Wii Game of E3 2008, Edge Top 20 Games of E3 2008, and Gamepro 21 Wii Games to Drool Over.

Kerry Ganofsky, founder and C.E.O. of HVS, commented on the attention, ''We are honored and overjoyed to have our efforts recognized. To be acknowledged by the industry news media shows that the hard work of our team has not gone unnoticed and only strengthens our resolve to continue to push our game play, graphics, and the technical boundaries of the hardware's capabilities.''

[This message was deleted at the request of a moderator or administrator]
Nothing in the original post ever states that the game will be published by Nintendo. Just because Nintendo provided space for the Conduit's developer on the upcoming PAX expo does not imply that the former is publishing the game. One thing about its Australian ''M'' rating, it is quite misleading as ''mature'' in English often applies to ''adults-only'' content. The government's rating is best labelled 15+ as used under the European PEGI rating system.
Nothing in the original post ever states that the game will be published by Nintendo. Just because Nintendo provided space for the Conduit's developer on the upcoming PAX expo does not imply that the former is publishing the game.
I couldn't have put it better myself. With all of the hype this game is getting right now, it's a good move on Nintendo's part to give more people a chance to play it. That said, it doesn't mean that Nintendo is indeed publishing the game because of it. If anything, this would be a way to test the waters to see if this game is really worth publishing at all. Also, console exclusive titles tend to get this kind of treatment every now and then, so it's no big deal. Speaking of the idea of Nintendo publishing this game, I don't see how it's a bad idea if this game is indeed something worth pushing. Nintendo is one of the few publishers Wii owners should trust for publishing this game.First and foremost, what is done in regards to the game's development wouldn't change. If the game is truly designed as a full-fledged FPS with its own online structure, it will probably stay that way even with Nintendo backing it up. If High Voltage Software has made this kind of investment in the game without a publisher's help, it won't need much help from a development standpoint. The only thing the Big N would really have to do is market the game, and quite frankly, that's probably the game's best bet to be successful. That's not to say that Nintendo hasn't dropped the ball with marketing similar games before, though. Both Eternal Darkness and Geist come to mind when I think about M-rated titles that were under Nintendo's name from a publishing standpoint that had little to no marketing time whatsoever. Still, I think it's a safer choice than most publishers that are dealing with Wii games. All of this said, what is being talked about now is merely just talk. Nothing is confirmed here, and it's even hard to classify this as a rumor, if you ask me. I'll take a grain of salt to go with this story, please? :P
Eidos should have developed it in my opinion.
and not to be a downer, but the fact that Day of Crisis looks like it is going to be cancelled anyway so the argument about two Nintendo published M games lacks any backbone.
and not to be a downer, but the fact that Day of Crisis looks like it is going to be cancelled anyway so the argument about two Nintendo published M games lacks any backbone.
uh you know Nintendo published M rated games before right?

I wouldn't say they've let me down. But I'll admit that I haven't found a Wii title yet that I've really fell in love with. Nothing so far that will make me look back at the Wii with fond memories. But, it's still got a few years yet to really blow me away.

Virtual Console Center

Just wondering how many people here take full advantage of their Virtual Console. I expect a lot of older gamers to fully appreciate the games that are offered, but I am also wondering if any of you new guys like the features of the Virtual Console.Virtual Console Center
I have been somewhat disappointed with the slow releases of classic virtual console games. I have a ton of good VC games, don't get me wrong, but it will feel awkward if I have almost every game released for a console that I like...but not all. Like I will keep buying all of these games and amass a collection of every N64 game that I like...but then Majora's Mask will never be released for it or something, lol. Nintendo puts too much emphasis on Wiiware now, which is unfair because they count Wiiware games as VC releases, thus releasing a lesser number of VC games still.Virtual Console Center
I've been kinda low on funds right now, but on next pay day I will be buying - Gley Lancer, Super Fantasy Zone, Splatterhouse 2, and Star Parodier.I love the cla$$ic games that appear on the VC, and the Imports are awesome --- A lot of people complain that the games on the VC right now sucks, but I don't own a TurboGrafx so I love being able to d/l these great games. Besides I expect to see the VC to release some big games between Thanksgiving and the Winter Holidays
I don't even own a Wii... does anyone think that the virtual console is a motivating force for purchasing it?
Yes, I use the VC a lot. I currently have 32 games and there's still tons more on the service that I want. Storage is definately a major issue though.
I don't even own a Wii... does anyone think that the virtual console is a motivating force for purchasing it?
If you have the money and you enjoy classic games, sure. Plus it plays Wii Games and GC games.

Nintendo needs to find a solution for the expansion pak compatibility. I have Zelda's Collector Edition on GameCube and Majora's Mask which the game is in the compilation has a bad emulation. The game can freeze at anytime. You need to not activate the rumble feature and the game could work better but it's still bad. I have 25 VC games and I'll get more in the future. Wiiware is a new thing. NOA needs to put more wiiware game on the service.

I bought Castelvania 2 because I played Castlevania:Symphony of the night, and i thought it was gonna be good... Man was I WRONG. castlevania 2 sucks!
To be honest there are a ton of games I'd buy on the VC and Wiiware, even if I didn't want to purchase GC and Wii games. Most of the titles that I grew up with or missed out on during the NES, SNES and N64 era are on the VC. Right now I have Kid Icarus, Lost Winds, Super Mario Kart 64, Yoshi's Story, Star Fox 64 and Pac-Man for NES and am loving it. I like retro, some-casual, and hardcore games so I know I getting the most out of my Wii. I just wish there was an attachment so I could plug in my old SNES controller too my Wiimote and use that instead of the classic controller. It'd just feel like the good old days. :)

This story features in the U.K press this morning The Daily TelegraphBoy bids ?00,000/$370,729 for Nintendo WiiBy Jessica SalterA five-year-old boy used his grandfather's eBay login details to bid nearly ?00,000 for a second hand Nintendo Wii.Archie Lovett was on the internet site looking for toys when he bid for the game console, which costs under ?00 brand new.His grandfather Ray Atkinson, 54, only found out what had happened after he received an email asking him for ?97,654.Mr Atkinson said: ''I couldn't believe it when I saw how much I needed to pay. I then realised that it was Archie.'' He emailed the seller and explained the situation.''He was very understanding, although before he put the phone down he did ask if I still wanted it.''Mr Atkinson believes his grandson, who already has a Nintendo Wii, learnt how to use the site after watching him buy and sell items. He said :''We have seen the funny side of this, but I have told Archie he cannot do it again.''It does show how clever he is.''Archie's mother, Leanne Lovett, 31, of Thornaby, Stockton-On-Tees, said her son once also nearly submitted a bid for an old car, but was stopped by his parents before he could complete his transaction.Mrs Lovett said: ''He said he only wanted the games but the problem is he doesn't understand money. So basicly inside guitar hero world tour there a mode where ur actually playing Wii Msuic hahahaGuitar Hero: World Tour Wii to have Mii ...
awesome! :Dnpw all we need is nintendo music
Now there's no need for Mii Music! I think this shows how shallow Mii Music and to think Nintendo and Miyamoto spent so much time into that title--and it doesn't show. I have the feeling that Nintendo wanted to do more with Wii Music, but realized whatever it was couldn't be done right at the time. Therefore Nintendo settled for the less ambitious state that Wii Music is in now. Nonetheless, you could have the best of both worlds with Guitar Hero World Tour. I'm not a Guitar Hero or rythmic game fan, so none of this matters to me.
I may use it, but with GH's insturments.
Updated, now you get the page with the interview.
Interesting feature, though I doubt I'll use it much. It does seem like an easier way to use the Song Creator, though I don't believe I'll be using the song creator often either. The one thing I can admire very much is that VV delivered a fully featured Wii version of a Multi-platform game. I still wonder what the second exclusive feature is though...
i dont like it...but i dont mind, i just wont use it, but who cairs if thairs no Led Zepplin in the game
Looks cool.
Needs moar Metroid Metal, The Kirby songs from SSBB and The DK Rap.
Nintendo tracks may be the 2nd Wii-exclusive feature. If not, there's always DLC %26 the Music Studio.

Star wars Unleashed, The conduit, ummmm, cant think of anything else but it would be pretty good if RavenBlade came out on the wii. For those who dont know, RavenBlade was a game being made for the cube by Retro studios, but was canned so they could focus on Metroid Prime
mad world, the conduit, project hammer, disaster day of crisis, and sadness
''Eagerly'' might be a bit of a stretch here, but there are a few upcoming Wii titles I would like to get my hands on.Wario Land: Shake It- 2D Platforming goodness is never a bad thing in my book, and this game looks absolutely amazing. It's always nice to see some effort being made towards this kind of game on a console.Animal Crossing: City Folk- Hopefully, the series' return to a console will respark my interest in the series again (Wild World, while great, didn't keep me hooked as long as I had hoped). Wii Speak might give the game that sense of communicative joy that the series has always strived for from a multiplayer standpoint.Mario Super Sluggers: My love for the prequel alone is enough to get me hyped for this game. It looks like Namco has implimented the Wii remote pretty well for this game, as well. Shaping up to be a great sports game, if you ask me.Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 2: Pretty much the surprise game on my list, but I really have enjoyed the series thus far, including the Wii prequel. If strides are being made to give the 35+ characters greater balance between their various styles, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this ends up the Wii's best traditional fighter (meaning SSBB doesn't count).Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World: Quite honestly, what I've seen and heard hasn't really gotten me as hyped for this game as I would like to be, so this one is on my list almost solely because I enjoyed the first ToS so much. Hopefully, there is something to this game that manages to surprise me once I play it. I could also use a nice RPG to play on the system.
Well....I thought the same way you did, but then someone said that if they added multiplayer, they woulnd't have focused as much on the single player...which imo wouldn't have turned out as such a great game....maybe if they delayed it they could have made it great, I don't see why they couldn't, MPH's Multiplayer wasn't half bad.
i wouldnt ave minded if SMG having co op online and battling 4 power stars like on mario 64 DS but obviously betterthey said they had co-op on SMG but it was god awful and wasnt needed at all
i really wish Mario Party 8 and Mario %26 Sonic at the Olympics were online multiplayer, that would be great
ALL OF THE!!!

NFS Prostreet and DAH Big Willy Unleashed would of had been good if they had online multiplayer
fire emblem... that would be amazing if they allowed a custom map maker like on brawl to fight with a team of your best against another's
RE 4 would be interesting with multiplayer.
Metroid Prime 3 definately should of had multiplayer. I like the idea of online Mario Party, that would be cool idea for the next one to play 50 turns with 3 different friends online. Also Order Up should of had it. It would of added a lot more depth to the game.
Metroid prime 3 would have been more fun with multiplayer it would have made the game a little less disapointing. Galaxy could have had multiplayer Battlon Wars could have had some local multiplayer...it would have made knowing i spend money on that game much less painfull
LoZ Tp could of had an online battle mode or something.
every wii game should have multiplayer especially metorid prime 3 and all games should have online multi player too
I wish Battalion Wars 2 had local multiplayer.

2 hours in front of Bestbuy week after launch.
Not long I preordered and picked mine up on launch day. All I had to do was wait in line for an Hour to preorder then wait a month to pick up the console.
My wife and I were talking about buying a wii for a while although just never searched and bought it. We bought one at a local BestBuy on a Saturday afternoon. Just walked in and bought it. To tell you the truth i wanted to buy the Wii Fit for my wife for her birthday and i searched for 2 weeks trying to find one. Again just walked into BestBuy one friday and they were just putting them on the shelves.
Bought it Day 1, three minutes after the stores opened. Got one of the last that were left...
I was gonna get it for christmas 06, but the my parents couldn't find one, so i got it like 2 weeks later.
They are hard as hell in to get ahold of in SC out of the Arse on the internet it took me almost 2 years from launch date to find mine an old highschool buddy called me and said his bro was working at a local GameStop and they where getting in a fresh batch in may so all you other dudes that got them on launch day or not long after are super lucky.
My Dad's co-worker's friend worked at Zellers and LUCKILY got me the last pre-order there.
i just walked in and bought one. on launch day, no less. however that doesn't help the OP so much, seeing as i was living in macau at the time... but still, it's fun to bring up when people are talking about how hard it is to get one.
when i decided to buy one i got it two days after wards... i got it from gamestop they told me to call everyday at 2 pm to see if they had any and they did... i was at school when this happened so my dad went and goit for me
i got it first day

thanx, anyone else wanna post.
Haven't played truck much. But monkey ball is very hard. I beat the story mode and like the graphics style.
oh yeah, i forgot warioware smooth moves so excite truck, supermonkeyball, or warioware.
Haven't played truck much. But monkey ball is very hard. I beat the story mode and like the graphics style.
is it like the challenging and fun kind of hard or the extremely frustrating kind of hard?
I own both of these games, and You should definatly go with excite truck, its really really good fun! its not as short as everyone says if you work to get the top grades you unlock alot more stuff. Monkey is fun, but the main game doesnt work to well, its a little bit twitchy making it unneccesarily hard, 90% of the mini games are almost unplayable.

go for excite truck its loads of fun.

I love super monkey ball, because its fun, challenging, the style is unique, and there's a lot of replayablility; when you beat the entire storymode (which may take awhile if you plan on beating it without continues), you still have a lot of fun minigames to go back to. I haven't played excitetruck much (though it does seem fun), but Monkey ball does have ''Monkey Race'' in which you hold the controller on its side like in Excitetruck...
Wario Ware without a doubt. Exite Truck is boring and ugly. Monkey Ball is frustrating has broken mini games that are hard to enjoy. Wario Ware is a bit on the short side but still features tons of fun mini games that make great use of the wii mote.

Some have a higher learning curve than others- some you can just pick up and play, others you have to get use to; it provides variety. As a whole, the game may be challenging (and may often result in anger-inducing 'colorful language), but it's fun, and there's a lot to do. If you ever get to the point where you want to start breaking things (as I have, with pretty much every monkey ball ever made) just stop playing for awhile and come back to it.

I'll get it even if the only new feature is city and beter online since i sold gamecube one (I hate how I was stupid 6 years ago) and lost wild world. I'M GETTING IT ON RELEASE DAY!!!!

I enjoyed WW for the first 6 months until it got repetitive and boring once you do everything. CityFolk looks to be nothing new.
Not enough new features is keeping me away from this title.
I'm definitly not hyped I can wait. I might not even buy it.
With the return of actual Holidays who couldn't be excited.
Not enough new features is keeping me away from this title.
This. It looks like Wild World with a slightly expanded city and voice chat slapped on.
At the press conference, when the trailer came, for one minute I seriously thought this was a flashback on Wild World. It looks exactly the same, but that most stores are now in this tiny city and Wii Speak isn't even in a bundle with it... no ty.
It looks good and I am looking forward to it. But it doesn't have many new features so I am not very excited. I am going to buy it anyway.
I owned the one for DS. I didn't get it. I don't really have time to play on holidays or every day so maybe that was the problem, I missed a lot of the random occassions. I just never figured out the goal of the 'game' either. I would just buy stuff to put in my house. It seems like there is a market for it, so I'm sure it will do well. Maybe I'll dust off my DS one and check it out again.
I've never been into sims games. Why would I want to 'simulate' anything I can do in reality? The real experience (unless it's fatal) is more rewarding than the simulation, I think.

do any of you play online?
On occasion, yes. At the moment, I'm playing Fire Emblem but I sometimes play BWii online.
I played and enjoyed this game but I traded it in for some strange reason and now desperately want to play some online battles.

error in internet

Take a look at the advice Nintendo gives here. The most common solution is number 3, so you might want to try that first.

• Are a casual or hardcore gamer?

I am really a hard core gamer. Are a casual or hardcore gamer?
Not this again...Try to define them. Who knows? Maybe someone will get it. Are a casual or hardcore gamer?
I'm real hardcoreI play everything and everything and must try out every single genre especially the new onesA lot of people THINK they're hardcore but they don't touch things like Wii Fit. They're called enthusiasts
I play Hardcore and Casual games.I don't care as long as i'm enjoying a game.

Please define ''hardcore'' and ''casual''.
I'd hate to post on this topic again. Check the wii forum page 2. but always been hardcore. Yes Jasonguy, I said it.

I'm a ''Hardcore Casual''
I'm just a average gamer I guess, haha.
Casual. Used to be hardcore when I was younger but now I just really enjoy sitting down and having some short gameplay sessions here and there. Not a ton of free time thanks to job, wife, kids, etc...
I'm neither. I hate those terms. I'm just a gamer. Let's take another hobby for example such as movie-goers. Are their hardcore and casual movie-goers? No. I play video games so that means I'm a gamer.
chances are if u say your hardcore you arent most real gamers will just say im a gamer
I put both I like to play a little of everything
Casual, I don't play games nearly enough to be hardcore.
Im in the middle so both.
I consider myself hardcore, but as already discussed, it really depends on the definition.
As long as the game is fun, presents a decent challenge, or is a breath of fresh air to the industry, I'm alll for it. Rpgs are my gig but with a job, I can tend to be more casual.
Dude! Prinny dude!Oh, and kinda both.
Casual gamers do not exist. If you're casual you're a player.
I'm 100% hardcore but I lik some casual games.

do you realy care that the wii is small

it ic nice that i couold save space in my room, but it did not make any diiference when i bought it, i would of bought the wii even if it was 3 times its sizedo you realy care that the wii is small
I don't buy systems based on their size but I guess it's convenient have it be small. Nintendo has always made sure their systems were small and compact.do you realy care that the wii is small
[This message was deleted at the request of a moderator or administrator]
I don't even think about the size. I just look at the price tag, look at the features, look at the games, and decide mainly by that if I want it.
The size of a console is irrelevant really.
I hear the black ones are bigger. ;)
lol I see what you did there
i like it more because its small
I like one thing about it being Small it is easy to take the console to another persons house because it is so small and light weight. Just think about taking a PS3 or an Xbox 1 to somebody's house that is 8 pounds (xbox) or else 11 pounds (PS3) that is too big to carry to somebodys house.
It would never be my deciding factor, but I do like the look and size of the Wii over the other two.
Did it become 1950 all of a sudden?Since when in the last 50 years has size ever been an issue with electronic devices?Consoles have always been small since the first ones hit the market. No one has ever not picked up a console because they couldn't find a place to put it.
The Wii has a great size to it. As soon as I saw its actual size I almost lost it. The size wasn't the deciding factor but the thing is so small when you see it in front of your face. I had plently of space to move my Wii around so size wasn't really important. I just really loved the fact the Nintendo sqeezed all that in that tiny package.
Big Screen Televisions.Yeah, my cousin did not pick up a certain console because of its size, and went with something smaller, just saying one should never say ''No-one'' or ''Every One'' on such matters.
No I don't really care that it is small all I care about is the Memory is so small.
I didn't really notice how small it was until I got my 360 and had it standing up next to my wii.
well nintendo could of ignored the size and made its console bigger then the ps3. using bigger parts is probley cheeper then using smaller parts. if they used big parts they might have been able to keep this prics low and the power high.

How often do you play your Wii?

I was just wondering, how oten do you play your Wii? for me it would be the second choice, what about you?How often do you play your Wii?
i guess the 2nd choiceHow often do you play your Wii?
rarely. last time i touched my wii was a couple weeks ago and that was to play Tales of Symphonia
only when theres something good to play which is rare now
Everyday.
EveryDay :)Im hooked on Brawl
whenever I feel like playing guitar hero.
Daily.
every day!
If I'm not busy, daily.
I play with my Wii daily ;).
Rarely. 360 takes up most of my time but I do enjoy going back to Brawl sometimes.
around every other day i play for an hour or 2 , but i have 360 which gets a lot more play time than Wii.
Almost everyday. I've been busy these past couple of weeks so its less than usual.
The second choice. School is starting for me soon so I can't really rent games or anything. Also, my PS2 is taking more gaming time.
I play mine mainly in spurts. It just got a lot of use due to No More Heroes.
The second choice.
i play everyday

Except for dusting purposes, I haven't touched my Wii in about two months :(
