How long did it take you to find your Wi ...

Well as we all heard that the Wii system can be pretty hard to find because of its popularity and the lack of Wiis being sold. I am currently looking for a Wii to purchase and I already looked at 7 different stores and were all sold out! Did any of you people have the same problem or did you buy it when it first came out and how long did it take to find one. Not long I worked at Wal-Mart so I knew when they were comming in
the 1st febuaray of relese and thats only because the people at my gamestoped are cool with he and held one for me for an entire day

I remember shivering in line while trying to do my calculus practice exams. I came at 5AM, but then, my store only opened at 10. And ya, there were people there who had camped out all night. Did employees bring you coffee? They did that for the PS3 launch, but they only brought us rub-on tattoos and Wii Play stickers. :P

2 hours in front of Bestbuy week after launch.
Not long I preordered and picked mine up on launch day. All I had to do was wait in line for an Hour to preorder then wait a month to pick up the console.
My wife and I were talking about buying a wii for a while although just never searched and bought it. We bought one at a local BestBuy on a Saturday afternoon. Just walked in and bought it. To tell you the truth i wanted to buy the Wii Fit for my wife for her birthday and i searched for 2 weeks trying to find one. Again just walked into BestBuy one friday and they were just putting them on the shelves.
Bought it Day 1, three minutes after the stores opened. Got one of the last that were left...
I was gonna get it for christmas 06, but the my parents couldn't find one, so i got it like 2 weeks later.
They are hard as hell in to get ahold of in SC out of the Arse on the internet it took me almost 2 years from launch date to find mine an old highschool buddy called me and said his bro was working at a local GameStop and they where getting in a fresh batch in may so all you other dudes that got them on launch day or not long after are super lucky.
My Dad's co-worker's friend worked at Zellers and LUCKILY got me the last pre-order there.
i just walked in and bought one. on launch day, no less. however that doesn't help the OP so much, seeing as i was living in macau at the time... but still, it's fun to bring up when people are talking about how hard it is to get one.
when i decided to buy one i got it two days after wards... i got it from gamestop they told me to call everyday at 2 pm to see if they had any and they did... i was at school when this happened so my dad went and goit for me
