can you skip cutscenes? i got nothin against them but sometimes i dont wana spent every 5 min watching a cutsscene or if you get game over and you have to watch it over tnx for helptales of symphonia question

No I don't think you can. The only thing you can do to speed it up is hit ''A'' repeatedily to speed through the text.
Just enjoy the storyline instead of looking at is as a bother.
no u cant skip cutscenes in tales of symphonia, oh well its not dat bad lol i remember almost breakin my ps2 controller when i had to watch da cutscenes b4 fightin seymour (from ffx) over n over again
