The Conduit to be published by Nintendo?

Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer at HVS, had this to say about the news, ''PAX is jam-packed wall-to-wall with passionate game fans. We are incredibly honored to be featured there at Nintendo's booth. It's a fantastic opportunity for us to receive input and feedback directly from other gamers.''

The Conduit made a big splash at this year's E3 convention. HVS received numerous awards and press recognition, including IGN Best Shooter Game of E3 2008 (Wii), IGN Best Graphics Technology of E3 2008 (Wii), IGN Best Overall Wii Game of E3 2008, GameTrailers Best Wii Game of E3 2008, Edge Top 20 Games of E3 2008, and Gamepro 21 Wii Games to Drool Over.

Kerry Ganofsky, founder and C.E.O. of HVS, commented on the attention, ''We are honored and overjoyed to have our efforts recognized. To be acknowledged by the industry news media shows that the hard work of our team has not gone unnoticed and only strengthens our resolve to continue to push our game play, graphics, and the technical boundaries of the hardware's capabilities.''

a part of me wants to believe this becouse well...its nintendo, but if its true then...freind codes!
If Nintendo was supposed to publish it then Nintendo is going to far because they already got an rated M game called Disaster Day of Crisis and the conduit I betta ya is going to be rated M so that is why I hope not that Nintendo is making the game. And by the way if Nintendo was supposed to make it. It might not be that good because it won't be one of Nintendos best game.

I sure hope not.
Y not?
Yeah why not???
Because then they will make it all colorful and kiddy and make it rated E... :(Just kidding.

Also Nintendo isn't making Conduit they will be Publishing it which is completely different then making it Nintendo will just be Distributing it.

Nothing in the original post ever states that the game will be published by Nintendo. Just because Nintendo provided space for the Conduit's developer on the upcoming PAX expo does not imply that the former is publishing the game. One thing about its Australian ''M'' rating, it is quite misleading as ''mature'' in English often applies to ''adults-only'' content. The government's rating is best labelled 15+ as used under the European PEGI rating system.
Nothing in the original post ever states that the game will be published by Nintendo. With all of the hype this game is getting right now, it's a good move on Nintendo's part to give more people a chance to play it. That said, it doesn't mean that Nintendo is indeed publishing the game because of it. If anything, this would be a way to test the waters to see if this game is really worth publishing at all. Also, console exclusive titles tend to get this kind of treatment every now and then, so it's no big deal. Speaking of the idea of Nintendo publishing this game, I don't see how it's a bad idea if this game is indeed something worth pushing. Nintendo is one of the few publishers Wii owners should trust for publishing this game.First and foremost, what is done in regards to the game's development wouldn't change. If the game is truly designed as a full-fledged FPS with its own online structure, it will probably stay that way even with Nintendo backing it up. If High Voltage Software has made this kind of investment in the game without a publisher's help, it won't need much help from a development standpoint. The only thing the Big N would really have to do is market the game, and quite frankly, that's probably the game's best bet to be successful. That's not to say that Nintendo hasn't dropped the ball with marketing similar games before, though. Both Eternal Darkness and Geist come to mind when I think about M-rated titles that were under Nintendo's name from a publishing standpoint that had little to no marketing time whatsoever. Still, I think it's a safer choice than most publishers that are dealing with Wii games. All of this said, what is being talked about now is merely just talk. Nothing is confirmed here, and it's even hard to classify this as a rumor, if you ask me. I'll take a grain of salt to go with this story, please? :P
Eidos should have developed it in my opinion.
and not to be a downer, but the fact that Day of Crisis looks like it is going to be cancelled anyway so the argument about two Nintendo published M games lacks any backbone.
