''...Half the fun of the original game was the ludicrous number of everyday objects protagonist Frank could use in his fight against the zombie masses. By Capcom's own admission, these have been cut down dramatically, with similar items such as the metal pipe and wooden plank %26ndash; both of which sport similar uses and dish out more or less equal amounts of damage %26ndash; grouped up into one single object. That's not to underplay the number of things you can mess around with in this Wii version %26ndash; on our limited play through we hurled benches, swung Serverbot heads, shunted shopping trolleys and rode a skateboard %26ndash; but there's no denying the game loses one of its key draws in the form of goulish curiousity and gleeful experimentation as you discover all those new and exotic items in the game world.''''...Unsurprisingly, Chop Till You Drop dramatically reduces the number of on-screen opponents you'll face %26ndash; partly as a concession to the Wii's limited horsepower and partly to accommodate this new play style. While Capcom promised the final version will feature more than the tiny handful of zombie marauders we saw during the demo, its development team is still experimenting in that area %26ndash; just don't expect hordes in their hundreds as was the case in the Xbox 360 game.''''...Still, from our playtime, it's clear that the essence of the series is still in tact with enough remaining of the original game to retain Dead Rising 360's revelry in giddy surprise and slapstick humour. Sure, it's shift in focus is likely to disorientate old hands but, ultimately, Chop Till You Drop is still about killing zombies in preposterous ways - and it's hard to begrudge that. From what we've played so far, Dead Rising Wii is something as a disappointment when compared to its hi-def sibling. However, it's clearly been designed to offer a new experience in the Dead Rising universe and we're eager to get more hands-on time with it, in order to judge it on its own merits.''Source IGN: Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop Han ...

I really don't know why capcom is bringing this over to the Wii. It doesn't make sense to me. The control scheme seems like its just waggle and RE4: Wii Edition.Honestly, it would have made more sense for them to make RE5 ported down than this.
''Half the fun of the original game was the ludicrous number of everyday objects protagonist Frank could use in his fight against the zombie masses. I'm sure it's not going to be a BAD game for Wii-only owners, but if you already own a 360, this game is pretty much useless. It looks VERY stripped down.

Also seeing that the number of zombies on screen will be reduced (obviously) is a huge dissapointment...I could care less about swinging the wii-mote to kill zombies, the thrill of waving that thing around has died off for sure. I agree they should have just ported down RE5
Wow, how disapionting. But I disagree with some of you here. This is exactly why RE5 should NOT be ported down to the Wii.Look how much the basic core of Dead Rising is being changed. Does anyone actually think the same thing wouldn't happen with RE5?
a bit disapointing but the game should still be fairly decent
No surprises, this port is a joke.
Didn't they say that there's going to be more zombies in the actual game then the demo IGN played?
I've never played the 360 version so I really don't care how different it is. If you have already played the 360 version, why would you play it again on Wii anyway? I think this game will be fine for anyone who has never played it on 360. I'll be getting it.

:cry:Looks like I need to find someone with a 360...
