I just purchased a wii online and will receive it in the next few days for my girlfriend. I got the package with a wii remote and nunchuck along with wii sports. The question I have is does it need a memory card or is there a hard drive built in to save games. Does the Wii have wireless connection built it or do I have to purchase something later. I was thinking of buying Mario Galaxy.New Wii owner needs help?

Yes, the Wii has a memory built in to save games and VC/WiiWare games, and, yes, it has Wifi built in too... New Wii owner needs help?
Welcome to the wonderful world of Wii!Mario Galaxy is a blast. Enjoy your console!
-it has built in memory-you will need wireless router to connect to the internet-good choice!
That is cool I do not need to buy anything else. Does the component cable make a big difference on HDTV's for the Nintendo Wii.
Get Legend of Zelda and Metroid Prime 3 too.

I definitely noticed a huge difference in sharpness when I got the component cables for my 32'' lcd
you can buy the ninty brand ones that are iirc about 40 bucks
The cheapest place I've found to buy the Nintendo-branded cables (if you want them) is Toys R Us:http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3003052 As for whether component cables make a difference or not, it may depend upon the TV. They made a HUGE improvement in sharpness and color on my old-school tube TV. They made a much smaller difference on my sister's Sony 32'' LCD TV (yes, I set the Wii to 480p and 16:9).
Have fun with the new wii. I got wii HD cables from the site in my signature for free. I did notice a pretty noticable difference on my Samsung 50' 720 DLP TV. As someone else noted its not 720p but its a little better and 480i.
