Kid Icarus Question

Is it only me who doesn't understand the huge desire for a Wii Kid Icarus game. After all the NES game was only above average and then hadn't been much call for it to come back until Pit was announced for Smash Bros.Stranger yet is that some of the people hoping for a return probably didn't play the original, after all it is regarded as a cult classic.Still I hope it happens as I believe it has the promise to be a good game.Kid Icarus Question

For one thing, Kid Icarus is one of the best games on the NES.But most people want it because it's something fresh and new from Nintendo rather than the same old stuff we are used to.

Not only would I love a new Kid Icarus, but I would pee my pants if a Wii Startropics was announced.

I'll go replay it on Virtual Console as it is a good game not a classic but very good.Still I would like to know where the sudden enthusiasm for the game came from. All I can think of is Pits' appearence in Smash Bros. but I didn't hear to many hoping for an Ice Climbers return when they appeared.Any thoughts
My guess would be the setting and the character main character, Pit. From what I've seen in Brawl, Skyworld's building's have kind of a Greek design so they might mix in some mytholgical elements kind of like GoW. Also, Pit is angel....do I even need to explain why people think that is awesome? :| I don't think people want the game because they liked the gameplay in the first 2 games, more likely I think they just like the setting, characters, and the ideas that could go with it. Let's see....2 small people with hammers climbing up a mountain or an Angelic Archer with a bow that can spilt into to swords, lives an a world up in the clouds, and fights creatures from the Underworld. You're right, the Ice Climbers are way cooler. :D
I have no idea why they think just because he was in brawll that he is going to return because if this was the case why didnt we get an ice climber sequel they were in melee? what about R.O.B why arent we getting a wii R.O.B? That game was on nes and gameboy I dont know how on earth people want this as bad as they ''act'' like they do

IGN has even gone as far as to say on their podcast that not only is it in development but it's also being done by Factor 5.
