If this so called ''game'' sells like hotcakes, I fear to think what Nintendo will come up with next. I have been right there with Nintendo and their expanding audience role since the Wii was first announced. I like the idea of opening up gaming to a bigger audience. But from everything I saw and read about Wiimusic at E3, this is just a whole new level of casual. The idea that all you have to do is wave your Wiimote around to make music is silly, and worse goes against the very idea of what a game does, it challenges. The guy at E3 who asked Miyamoto how WiiMusic differs from a toy hit the nail right on the head. Worse, the fact that as things stand right now, WiiMusic and Animal Crossing are the only Wii games Nintendo will be offering this Holiday period disgusts me. For the first time I will nto be buying a Nintendo 1st party game in the October/November/December period. I would actually recommened to anyone interested in a Wii to wait until Wiimotion+ launches next Spring. That's a 7-8 month wait. That's a long time.Heck, if it were not for games like Sega's Mad World and High Voltage's The Conduit coming early next year, I'd put my Wii on eBay right now and just buy a Wii about a year from now when some devs could do some interesting things with Wiimotion+.Where's Kid Icarus, Punch Out w/ Balance Board, Star Fox, F-Zero, Disaster Day of Crisis, or just any new IP all together for the more dedicated and traditional gamers from Nintendo this year?I'm really dissapointed in Nintendo this year, and I love them and the universe of gaming they have created. I really hope Wiimusic fails in sales and Nintendo gets a lesson of when casual gaming and the quick cash it brings them goes a little to far. Wii Music must fail . . .
Man I hate music games. Well...except Electroplankton. Music games (i.e.: rock band, guitar hero...) ruin music and what they stand for. Music games are just ways to sell out.

Disaster Day of Crisis is coming. It just had been rated on the OFLC website which it will come to Europe.
I'm actually sorry to say, but there are no Wii games in production that I'm aware of that I'm interested in. I have got about 8 games for it though, so my Wii isn't completely spent.
i cant believe that wiimusic either! a serious wtf moment for me. but nintendo doesnt have any ds titles coming out in the Q4 do they??? i usually shift to the port. when ninty fails on wii;)
Animal Crossing looks decent, but Wii Music looks terrible.
It's not my fault if you don't watch what's coming in the 3rd party side and the taste of games you have? I always thought that people who only buy Nintendo games are stupid close minded people. I'll have more 3rd party games than you'll have in the entire generation. Casual gaming will expand. You really think that Microsoft and Sony will let Nintendo winning the casual market again. Next gen will be a new meaning of consoles because all consoles will be more casual. I have a feeling Wii Music will sell.
It's a just game. It reminds me of Mario Paint for the SNES. Just a toy. Nintendo isn't abandoning anything or anyone. In fact, I feel they are very well aware of all types of games. Reggie himself said he would like to see a GTA on the Wii, likes BioShock and hopes more games like that come out, and totally appreciates LBP and Halo. But N always catered to family. They are just more successful with it than ever.
I'm curious to see how well it does. I'm guessing it will sell like crazy to parents of small children. But overall, I think it will be the least successful of all the 'Wii' titles so far. It doesn't seem to appeal to as wide of an audience as say, Wii Sports or Wii Fit.

The point is that if people really have been with Nintendo for a long time they would realize they were always like this. Rob, power pad, super scope, virtual boy, all things that were different, made by nintendo and didn't destroy gaming.
It won't fail. It will sell millions of copies before the year is even over.
The difference between Mario Paint and WiiMusic is that Nintendo is counting this as one of their two big flagship Holiday titles. That as well as the game's make up is what upsets me the most.As for the poster way above who says it's not his fault? What? Of course it's not your fault and I am a very open minded gamer, I own all the consoles and am looking forward to a lot of games this gen for other consoles as well as a few third party Wii games. Fatal Frame IV, Deadly Creatures, etc.Again, I am very dissapointed in Nintendo themselves and their first party offering. Despite owning all consoles minus the PSP, Nintendo has and will always own a special place in my gamer heart. I expect great things of them the most.

That's niceorrrrrrrrrrrrrWe could just let people buy what they like and hope that more games are made for them? Let's go with my idea

So to that I say that its nothing but a selling point for the game.Plus people look like idiots playing those games. The time they spend on guitar hero they could learn songs on a real instrument. Its more successful to say that you can play ''smoke on the water'' than say you beat guitar hero on expert.sigh...
I have a friend who's a musician, he plays guitar, bass, keyboard, drums and pretty much any instrument you give him. But guess what? He also enjoys playing rock band with me.''Putting music on those games is just a way to get more money''EXACTLY! You know why they're doing it? Because no one buys music anymore.

Why do I sense a case of xenophobia among Nintendo fans? I do not understand the paranoia and the ''sky is falling'' mentality.Wii Music ''must fall'' will be a false prophesy.
