Let's use RE4 GC as an example. How would it work? Would the first disc be the main game and then once you have beaten the main game and saved it on your memory card, your second disc will reveal the mini games and unlockables?? I'm really curious cuz I've never bought any games that were 2 discs. How do games that require 2 discs work?
When you reach a certain point of the game it'll tell you to swap discs and you can continue from there. As far as extra content, it could be on either discs. How do games that require 2 discs work?
It's really simple. Put the first disk in, play for like 10 hours (not exactly 10 hours, but however long it takes you to get to the end of the 1st disk, and I just made 10 hours up, the actual average number of hours it'll take could be way different), then once you get to the end, it'll tell you to put the 2nd disk in, and after you put the 2nd disk in you can continue right from where you left off in the 1st disk.
Don't worry the game tells you when to swap discs.
It's usually not split evenly 50-50 between the two. Like they will fill the first one up 90% (for example) and then maybe only half the space is used on the 2nd disc.
Just like everyone else says, you swap the disc at the appropriate time. The only 2 disc games I have ever played were on Gamecube - Tiger Woods and Baten Kaitos (that game is like 60 hours long!). I thought I was getting near the end and then discovered I was only half way through. I am definitely going to play it soon, although I'll probably restart it since I've forgotten the story.

so, you can just start from the second disc in order to play the latter parts of ''name game here''??
so, you can just start from the second disc in order to play the latter parts of ''name game here''??
the only multidisk game ive ever played was final fantasy VII. if you try to skip to disk 2 it will tell u to put in disk one.
so, you can just start from the second disc in order to play the latter parts of ''name game here''??
No, it will usually tell you to insert Disk 1. You can only use Disk 2 when it tells you too. That is for most games (like RE4) but I am sure there are some games out there that wil let you skip to any part you want.
so, you can just start from the second disc in order to play the latter parts of ''name game here''??
lol, no I'm pretty sure the game developers thought of that. The 2nd game disk checks your GC memory card for the save file that you made on disk 1, and if it's not there it won't allow you to start from the 2nd disk. But you can always buy RE4 for Wii and download a save file onto your SD card from gamefaqs for it, if that's one of the games you want to get to the 2nd part on.
