Note: My sequel storyline does take away a few aspects of previous Zelda games and adds a few new ones. I'm trying to distance this from the conventional Zelda storyline where Ganon kidnaps Zelda and Link is the savior; although, I want the feel of the Zelda franchise to still be there. It's been twenty years since the events of Twilight Princess and Link is now in his mid thirties. Link, has lost much of his boyish features, his build is far more masculine, he's grown a beard and bares a scar going across his right eye. He's still has his tunic from those days of adventuring long ago, but hasn't worn it since then. He continues his job as a sheep herder, rarely leaving his village except for the rare ocassion of journeying to Hyrule Castle for a visit with the Princess. But recently Link has noticed the Princess hasn't written him any letters. Link later is informed that Princess Zelda has been assassinated, by a peon of someone with high authority. This inrages Link, so he puts on his tunic once more and does some investigation of his own. On his journeys he finds out that their is a cult forming in Hyrule who honor Din, the Goddess of Strength. It seems somehow the Goddess has managed to step on mortal plain once again. She has already retrieved the Triforces of power and wisdom. Her plan is to retrieve all the triforces so she can overpower her sister goddesses, Nayru and Farore, and rule Hyrule for herself. During Links journey he will travel to many realms, unlocking many artifacts trying to ressurrect the other Goddesses onto mortal plain. When he finally realizes this will be impossible with Din's power over the realm of Hyrule, he infuses his sword with the essence of both Nayru and Farore to try and overwhelm Din and making her retreat to the other world. Anyways, that's just the gist of it. Could probably incorperate a lot more stuff from Twilight Princess in there. But I do think it would be sweet if we saw a grittier older looking Link in the series. My LoZ:TP sequel storyline
Fanfiction, I'll pass. But I have ears and eyes for anyone willing to suggest gameplay ideas. My LoZ:TP sequel storyline
It's a good try but I don't think it makes much sense.1. The whole character of Link is that he is a young man/child. It's integral to his role as the underdog. It would be like making Bilbo Baggins 6-foot-tall and brandishing a battleaxe, it just doesn't fit.2. All three gods were kind. Why would one help the other two to create the world and then try and and lay waste to it?3. You can't have a god as an enemy, gods are immortal.
You can't be bothered to read one paragraph?
3. You can't have a god as an enemy, gods are immortal.
Straight off the top of my head. Fire Emblem, Okami, God of War, uh... Star Ocean. They all say hi.
Meh, cliches aren't always a bad thing.

link as an old man?......Meh
Gods may be immortal, but this isn't 'thee' god we're talking about here. Just cause you can't kill a god doesn't mean you can't defeat one. You guys are finding plot holes of a story that isn't fully detailed.

And you did ask us for our opinions.EDIT: Well in fact you didn't but by putting it up on the internet I guess it was implied.
Then people wouldn't want to read it cause it would be too long. And I did, but that doesn't mean I can't back up my work so you can come to seeing things my way.

Well I honestly think none of us know that since those aspects haven't been discovered in the world of Zelda. But you are entitled to your opinion and I think your opinion is fair, and I'm not going to bother changing it anymore.
Rite-o, it's half 2 where I am so I'm off to bed.
You can't be bothered to read one paragraph?
I can't be bothered to read a story when Zelda isn't about storytelling, that's all.
Other than the fact that it's fanfiction, which...yeah....This whole thing needs moar %26#12415;%26#12393;%26#12394;!
don't quit your day job.

Cause this sentence made me laugh. If Nintendo took this idea of yours, I'm pretty sure that I'd never touch a Zelda game ever again.
