Ok, so there was a time when my TV sucked, and I used my PC monitor insted of my TV, using VD-W2 Wii VGA cable, which transforms it to DVI. As a bonus, for me, it also allowd me to see 420P. So, not long ago I got my new HDTV, and decided to move my WII to the TV. So, right now its conneccted thru the same VD-W2 Wii VGA cabal, only to my TV [still thru DVI ports and all], so I could use 420P. Question is, does it really matter? Is there a big diffrence betwin normal res on the WII [on 32 inch HDTV] and 420P? Beacuse thu those cabels are good, I think that using the original WII cabals are better [insted of converting it to DVI and then go into DVI slot in my TV, where there are less color changing options like sharpness and stuff like that]. What would you recommend? Thank you.Wii and Hi-Res
the stretched picture of a 420i looks HORRIBLE on HDTV, it gets distorted and very very blurry, looks like the antialiasing methods of the n64 daysas for DVI against the component 420p, then it would probably be near identicle save for maybe a slight change in colour vibrancyWii and Hi-Res
Can you tell me of a cable that would allow me to do 420P aside from my old one? Beacuse if I use my PC [DVI] port on the TV, I get less options on changing stuff [such as sharpness or gama and stuff like that]. Thanks for your answer.
I'm guessing not American?
[QUOTE=''Jaysonguy'']I'm guessing not American?[/QUOTE]Umm no, sorry my English has it problems and that I dont know much about this stuff, but can you help me? Its just that the only cable I have that can do 420P is outputing it to DVI, I no nothing about a cabal for the WII which supports 420P and is in ''normal'' output [on the TV I cant change much on the DVI channel] |:

I don't know if the DVI cable is the reasdon for the 420p or if that's just what you have over there.
Ohh, sorry I said 420P insted of 480P. Sorry for this error, didnt notice that before. So, now that you know its 480P [again sorry for this error] can you recommend me of what I need to use\ find? Thanks for helping by the way.
Now we're getting somewhereOk, yes if you have the option of using 480p it's always better and will give a truer pictureIf what you have now is giving you 480p you can't do better
Its just that im using a cable called ''''VD-W2 Wii VGA'', its for PC monitoers, outputs to DVI.Is there a cable for the WII that can also do 480P only in AV insted of DVI? What are you using for exemple?
I'm using a component cableThe component cable outputs at 480p as well so I don't know if you'd see much of a difference.
Yeah component gives you a 480P picture it looks much better. You can buy them online for about $5. Although in some countries I think they can also use SCART cables or something too. Either one would work.
